Why smile? This oil and cold wax painting by the artist is happy, warm and subtle. Soft colors of orange, peach and red blend to form a comforting color palette. Blue and white cause the warmer colors to shine. The composition is further enhanced by the use of several layers of oil paint and cold wax in combination with mark-making scratched in the paint.
